For many decades, women’s contributions to society, be it as innovators, warriors or philosophers have largely been underplayed or simply forgotten. At Power Women of City, we intend to flip the coin by documenting the successes, struggles and ventures of women in the City of London. We will include women from all walks of life by featuring influencers drawn from all social backgrounds, ethnicities and religions. We will highlight the successes of the FTSE100 CEO as well as the accomplishments of an upcoming fashion designer. 

Our goal is to be a platform that gives voice to the struggles of women in the City, sings praise to their accomplishments, and offers encouragement and opportunities to future women leaders. At Power Women of City, we will speak to women and write about women. We will bring a female perspective to the hustle and bustle of career life in the City of London. 

Our logo features the mythical Greek goddess Hera. In ancient Greece, Hera was worshipped as the queen of the heavens and earth, and as the protector of marriage and women. She is referred to as ‘The Queen of Heaven’ ruling over Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece, where all the gods and goddesses live.

At Power Women of City, we believe women hold immense power to shape society and the future. We believe women can reign in the world of business, finance, social activism and philanthropy. And we will share the experiences of women, and champion the rights of women, as we work to realise a City where women enjoy boundless success.
